Gaming Headsets

Postby Major Damage 76 » Thu Feb 19, 2015 11:45 am

Sup MEEN!!! I'm in the market for a new gaming headset but they're so many options. What are you guys using? Also if you could buy any gaming headset and money wasn't a factor, which would you buy?

I'm using a pair of PX5's from Turtle Beach I bought a few years ago and I love them. It has about 8 audio presets but usually stick to one. Some games sound better than other but overall a quality headset.

I've always been interested in the Astro headsets but can't bring myself to spend that much on that right now especially when I already have a decent pair.

The Gold Headset works and is reasonably priced...that said it won't win any awards for best sound or feature functionality

My sony bluetooth wireless stereo headphones work fine as far as sound quality is concerned. But the annoying thing about them is that the plastic makes a creaking sound at times and the volume controls are too sensitive when you want to get the volume to that perfect level it often ends up too high or too low

My Pulse headset from my PS3 has worked great with both the PS3 and PS4. Range is questionable at times but I don't want you guys hearing me pee anyway.

I bought myself the Astro A50s after Christmas and they are by far the best headset I've owned. Sound quality is fantastic and they are far and away more comfortable than my Sony Gold or Trittons were.

I am not a fan of my TB PX4's. They are not bad for the cost I thought the audio quality could have been better.

Yep, got it in Nov. and it's the only controller I've used since. I don't play as much as I used to but considering the wear problems the regular DS4 has been having for some people I'm pretty happy with the way it's held up. Still feels like new.

I have had the Astros A40's for about two years now, and I absolutely love them. Comfortable even after playing for 4+ hours

It comes with one. Had to hook it up to the Playstation but it's no big deal. This is the one I got.

I got some wired turtle beach single ear covering piece. Its nice being able to hear kids and wife, but honestly the volume of the headset is low. 20 bucks worth of trial.

I wanted a wireless single ear piece, but I didnt want to go through the trial process of finding out compatability since playstation is no help.

It's between the Astro A50s and the TRITTON Pro+ 5.1.

After having both I can't recommend the Astro more. My Trittons were great and served me well, but the A50s are on another level IMO.

How long does a full charge last? The thing about wireless that holds me back is that I'm always hearing the MEEN say "My headset's about to die".
