Support our Troops; Donations for Care Packages PICTURES

My company is putting together care packages for our troops abroad. Let me know if anyone is interested in donating. I will use my PayPal account (dd_carroll@hotmail.com) to collect donations then either buy stuff or donate 100% of the money. This is a perfect time for all of us to give to the troops. I have already pledged $20. Let me know if you send something to my paypal and make sure you mark it as a GIFT so there is no transaction type fee.

Hello All,

I would like to take the opportunity to explain to you our idea for the Red and Blue Foundation’s upcoming National Event on April 20th .

On April 20th, all regions will be assembling care packages for those who have family or friends, deployed overseas. Have family or friends serving overseas? Please send me (via PM) their name and address and we will send them a care package filled with goods collected from our drive. All items included in the care packages will be donated 100% by employees and will be shipped around the world. Over the next few weeks we need all of your support to help achieve our objective. The following is all the pertinent information.


• WHAT: We need Donations and help putting together troop packages (See below items)

• WHEN: April 1st thru April 19th (Donations)…..On April 20th we will be having a party to celebrate and put together all of the care packages.

• WHY : You’re Country and our Troops needs you

• HOW: Any help is welcomed

• ITEMS FOR PACKAGES:

Knit Hats, Scarves, Neck Gators
Easter Candy
Socks (preferably black, brown, green, tan)
iPods, DVDS and CDs, Video Games, Computer Flash Drives
Headsets (earpiece and microphone) and WebCams
ENERGY BARS, BEEF JERKY, HEALTHY SNACKS (these are some of the most popular items!)
Commercially sealed Lip Balm, toothpastes, toothbrushes, roll-on deodorant
Individually packaged razors
Travel- Size board games, handheld electronic games
Mini- Battery operated Fans
Bandana Coolers/ Cool- Ties
Hand and Foot Warmers
Single Serving Boxes of Cold Cereal; Individual Packets of Hot Cereal
Commercially wrapped individual packets of Trail Mix, Nuts, Sunflower Seeds, Candy
Ready to eat tuna or chicken salad kits
Beanie Babies, Webkinz or other Small Plush Toys
Boxes of Girl Scout Cookies
Packets of Powdered Hot or Cold Beverages
Individual packets of moist towelettes
Travel Size containers of Foot Powder, Sun Screen , Lotion

The collection ends this Wednesday the 20th. Any more MAAN guys care to donate? Even small donations are welcome. I was hoping we'd have a little more to give than $40, but I understand everyone is watching their money. No worries. I will donate whatever we have first thing Wednesday morning. If anyone has family or friends over there let me know and we'll send something to them.
