Easy zones&ctf blitz

Postby dpickett » Thu May 17, 2012 9:21 pm

So I set up the sever. 2 min 32 max

I will frequently disconnect as I'm on a 512k DSL Line. Haha

Large maps for zones.
10,000 score limit
15 minute round
Heavy weight blitz

Small maps for ctf
5 cap score limit
10 minute round
Heavy weight blitz

The problem is since we are all in the same clan it sticks us on the same side. You guys have to balance yourselves.

Feedback requested.

Things I see off hand...

Our pilots that rock socks, please burn up some of that energy claiming bases at least dropping essential buildings.

Okay. I leaned something. We clearly need to pre party in MP world. Using te word 'easy' in the title lures in people

Now to go get a little sideways with the misses California style. G'night all

Let's get some feed back going.

Add Silentprocess to that list and we are in agreement.

As soon as I get over this, whatever it is I have, I'll be back in the game. Right now I feel too much like shit to play.

Unfortunately, I always get on too late for the walk-through portion of the night. I really need to do some dogfighting to learn the maps and the pickups, because it's not even worth getting in the air right now for me. I'm dead before I can even switch to a different weapon. My mic didn't work for a single game last night, and I kept finding myself on the opposite team of most MEEN. I resigned myself to the fact that I suck long ago, so I'm not really surprised, but it seems that the only way I can get a kill is with a MAANcake.

Speaking of MAANcakes, does it seem silly to anyone that a spawn pod can destroy a tank? If I see the circle on me, the tank is too slow to get away before the pod smashes it.

Bail out of the tank and then after they hit the tank get back in and run them over... OR if your tank is sparking/on flames, bail out of the tank, throw a couple grenades at it while they try to get in it. If you bail out of the tank it takes no damage from pod drops.

No more sillier than bringing down a building with a knife.

Easy zones&ctf blitz

Postby dpickett » Fri May 18, 2012 10:28 am

Again. We will pre party in MP home world from now on to always be on the same side. To get a server going we will have to manually swap sides for the order round until we get more people joining.

I noticed that we lost a zns game that we started out slow to disperse, and despite playing well after 5 minutes of nada, we still lost. Zns is tricky, because. A team can protect level 3 zns that prevent any enemy expansion. Even though we eventually had more zns, they had two middle zns at full strength (lvl 3) so we couldn't bring ours up past lvl 1. So coordination is key. Also-

Zns is won on the ground! My mic was out that game, but I was hollering for the four hawks to land in enemy territory. Love the air support, but in yhe heat of battle we gotta remind ourselves what the objective is and execute accordingly

I had to watch a video to even understand how zones worked (besides the basic capturing part) didn't understand the zone leveling and why/how they could be locked and the such.

I watched this video because there were things going on in zone matches that I didn't completely understand.

Edit: The guys in the video have no clue how to use snap-aim, but they seem to understand the concept of zones.

It is very frustrated to land on a zone fight for a bit and die, and no one else shows up. It is a worthless move. We need coordination, ground and air. Someone calling what to do. Hawks can land and kill players, but ground troops need to move in right away.
