Those are pretty quick write-offs from a lot of people that have yet to see any gameplay.

I'll wait to reserve judgement on whether or not I am going to get it until about 2 months before the drop date.

prior to BOPS most people's opinion of Treyarch was based on W@W. If you put the era aside W@W it was actually a really good game. First game that addressed the host disconnection issue without making it a big deal.

I always enjoyed the COD* gameplay... on those rare occasions I had a good, low latency connection relevant to the host. Four iterations of the game in is current architecture were enough for me. I don't know if it's strictly the P2P setup or what, but change that so that I at least feel like I'm playing in real time with the others players and I'll start buying the titles again.

I agree...how can you write off a game based on one screen shot? I'll agree that that Imperial Walker want-a-be looks stupid though.

I'm on the fence with this being a future soldier game. How many people here have said about cod "been there, done that". Well, can't really say that now.

That's what I'm thinking. People complain COD is stale. BO2 seems to be futuristic - something I'm not sure we've seen yet. People complain. Haters gonna hate, I guess. :gasfire:

There were just as many horses in the video as there was future stuff.

I'm sold.

I just watched the trailer and I kinda liked it. I love the cod games but I think they are getting a little stale. This might be what turns the corner for the series. Might also be a nail in it's coffin. I'll wait for more info before I decide.

There's a lot of things that could be done with COD to keep the same feel of the COD series but freshen it up a bit. There are plenty of futuristic combat games out there already. They could add game modes like escort from Socom Conf, create new game modes rather than 10 variations on TDM, add current type weaponry that is futuristic but not killzone futuristic (smart bullets maybe)

I dunno, but there's a lot they could do without making the leap to the future.

Guess we'll see as it gets closer and more info is available. I'll remain cautiously optimistic that they will come up with something that isn't too much of a disaster

I'm not so sure about the game modes. MW3 had a ton of new game modes, and it still didnt really hold my interest for long.
