Spawn Killers, WTF!

Postby SodaThal » Sun Nov 23, 2008 3:06 pm

Last weekend I though I'd play some BFBC and download the new Conquest map and so on. I finally get in to play and I was spawn killed like 8 or 9 times in a row(every game), WTF! That pissed me right the @&$^%@& off! So I played some Socom. Things were better then.

Anyway I was wondering if some of you guys have this problem. If so I'd like to plaster EA's forums about getting a Safe 10 or 20 second spawn to kill and take care of spawn killers. Maybe I just had a bad game(instance) but after that I didn't want to play BFBC anymore.

I think my rant is over now. :D

Were they teamkills or kills by enemies?

Last time I played before the patch, teamkilling was getting pretty rampant...I almost thought Ruger had a secret training session going on behind closed doors.
Sent from repositioning the transmission dish on the remote truck to 17.32 degrees east, hit WESTAR 4 over the Atlantic, bounce the signal back into the aerosphere up to COMSAT 6, beam it back to SATCOM 2 transmitter number 137 and back, using Tapatalk

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean, "spawn killing" is kind of the whole point of Conquest mode. If your team owns a zone you can spawn there, but the enemy is trying to take over the spot by occupying it and fighting off defenders. If you spawn on a zone under attack you should expect to be immediately targeted.

They were kills from the enemy.

Can you see the spawning person magically appear before he/she is really there? I just want some time to see what's going on and react before I get killed time and time again. A safe 5 seconds when you spawn would be nice.

It's just like Warhawk, there were spawn killers there also and that got sickening. You try to spawn somewhere else, spawn killed.

Maybe I'm just being a crybaby but I'll give it another go and see what happens.

I don't think there is a reliable way to aim where someone is about to spawn. If I remember correctly you spawn pretty much right on a zone if it isn't under attack. If it is under attack you spawn anywhere in a circle around the zone.

Maybe it was just a stretch of bad luck :) If you were spawning somewhere away from the action and still getting spawn killed then it would be a little fishy, especially if whoever killed you wasn't trying to take a zone.

Yeah it was a crazy game. Everyone was a General of the Army in that game and I was the only Sergeant on both teams. I haven't played since but I'll have to give it another go sometime.

This was just like when I tried to play COD4 and got pawned every game. One kill for every ten or thirty deaths.
