An old friend returns! The Conquest game mode was hugely popular in previous Battlefield games and now sees its addition to DICE’s latest blockbuster. Download the Conquest Pack for Battlefield: Bad Company for free and battle it out on four modified maps from the core game. In Conquest mode, the aim is to reduce the opposing team’s tickets to zero. Killing an enemy soldier depletes one ticket per kill, whilst capturing control points on the map causes enemy tickets to count down. See you on the Battlefield soldier!

A brand new multiplayer mode is here, and it's free!

Content includes the traditional Battlefield multiplayer game mode, Conquest. Conquest focuses on the capture and control of flags; once a team captures a control point, its members can re-spawn in the area. When a team loses control of all their flags or control points, they cannot re-spawn.

Maintaining control over the flags on the battlefield is a key to victory and the ability to re-spawn troops close to the battlefront can make all the difference for that last offensive push. Four existing maps have been redesigned along with all new lighting and weather effects, to give players a great battlefield on which to play Conquest. Upon entering one of these maps, the U.S. ARMY will face off against either the Russian or Middle Eastern Coalition forces and the battle for control of the territory will begin.

They stated that the fixes and possible clan patch will be coming next. It only them a couple months to come out with this mode. I know most aren't fans of EA, but Dice has done a great job supporting the Battlefield series. I question some of their decisions on removing clan support and such, but I know they will include it again soon. Am I giving up on this game, nope! Still one of my faves. I do look forward to them fixing the blue tooth issue, but from what I read, it isn't just BFBC with the bluetooth issue.

I enjoy playing it when I can as well. It would make the enjoyment that much more if the problems were fixed. Whether that be Sony's problem or EA's or Dice, or ?

My son is home playing the new stuff now he said its pretty kool and easy to get a lot of points, I guess the flag takes a while to get up. STILL FREZZING

I have it downloaded, it's great!

You don't get it from the PS Store, it comes up as update 1.10 when you pull up BF:BC. I haven't tried the mics or anything, but the new mode is a lot of fun. Teamwork is more important than in gold rush. The maps are familiar and different all at the same time.

Well I got the new mode and looks like Ill be trying to play it a bit more. Still waiting on the clan support and mic issues but with me back into gaming on COD 4 Im also going to try to put in some time on BFBC.

I like the new mode, but only played it a short time last night due to the fact I couldn't stand the fact that trying to do anything that would resemble team/squad work is impossible because of the no mic problem. Conquest Mode will certainly whoop all kinds of ass when the mics are working. Until then..........................it's a cluster fuck.

Did anyone notice that their guy makes a lot more noise than before? I was running through bushes and he was all "ouch" "haagh" and he was talking to himself a lot more. Maybe mine is just crazy and a pussy. Not sure, but seemed different.

like the new mode a lot better than, destroy the crates mode.you can rack up hella points even if you're not that good.30 points for a flag is kinda nice.also seems to be a snipers dream.when the enemy goes for a flag,you have a lot of chances to snipe them down.too bad i suck at sniping though,tend to run around with the support class.

I was running around with the support class last night and found out the hard way (more than once, I'm a slow learner I guess) that calling in a mortar strike will usually always kill a shitload of your teammates.

LOL.i did that a bunch the other day.did it with the howitzer,and calling in air strikes.didnt really matter much to me,i was on a team of teamkilling douchbags.
